The mighty-armed Janardana brightened up all the worlds and shone. Seizing the royal glpry of Asuras from all the three worlds, he forced them to retreat to the bottom of the nether-world along with their sons and grandsons. 1. *Vainya* i.e. King Pfthu in Bd. P. v. 72. It^is a better reading as this and other sources give the credit of Yajfia to Pfthu in this Manvantara.
