Kunti of Bhoja family adopted Prtha as his daughter. Pan^u married her. Sura had given her in adoption to the aged Kuntibhoja as he had no child. Hence Prtha became known as Kunti and daughter of Kuntibhoja. Pan<ju the chief of Kurus, a great hero, took her as wife from him.
