He performed severe penance for ten thousand years. He became endowed with Yogic power and more particularly with supernatural powers like Animd etc. As he possesses glorious power, he divided himself into human beings, serpents, Rakgasas, Devas, Asuras and Gandharvas. All of them being endowed with divine bodies and wealth of beauty and splendour, they were lords equal to himself. He was desirous of creating other mental living beings of various kinds.
