Description of Bharatavarsa - Verse 53-55

It extends to one thousand Yojanas in area and is full of fruits and flowers. It is fertile and flourishing. It is one hundred Yojanas in breadth and so much in height. There is an excellent mountain Kumudaprabha in its centre, inhabited by Siddhas and Caranas. It has various gems equal in lustre to the moon. These have all good traits and shine in their lnna r shape. There are lilies of diverse colours, parks and gardens of variegated hues. There are many rivulets and caves. It is decorated with great ridges, precipices, crevasses and bushy hedges.
