Jarhbu-dvipa ( contd.) - Verse 37-38

After the churning of the milk ocean the Daityas were defeated; on being pressed in the tumult of the battle, when the trees shook, a garland wreathed by the thousand- eyed lord Indra was put round the trunk of that Asvattha tree (as a form of worship).
