ए॒ताव॑तस्त ईमह॒ इन्द्र॑ सु॒म्नस्य॒ गोम॑तः । यथा॒ प्रावो॑ मघव॒न्मेध्या॑तिथिं॒ यथा॒ नीपा॑तिथिं॒ धने॑
etāvatasta īmaha indra sumnasya gomataḥ yathā prāvo maghavanmedhyātithiṃ yathā nīpātithiṃ dhane
So much even now from Indra comes of cow-prosperity: as the generous give seat to friends, so he assigns riches and guesthood, and bestows wealth.
O Indra, we long for such a bounty of yours, rich in kine; (help us), Maghavan, as you did helpMedhyātithi with wealth, as you did help Nīpātithi.
Protect us, Agni, through the first, protect us through the second hymn, Protect us through three hymns, O Lord of Power and Might, through four hymns, Vasu, guard thou us.
