स॒कृद्ध॒ द्यौर॑जायत स॒कृद्भूमि॑रजायत । पृश्न्या॑ दु॒ग्धं स॒कृत्पय॒स्तद॒न्यो नानु॑ जायते
sakṛddha dyaurajāyata sakṛdbhūmirajāyata pṛśnyā dugdhaṃ sakṛtpayastadanyo nānu jāyate
Once was heaven born, once earth was born. Often milked by the cloud, often its butter came forth; another is not born alike.
Once, indeed, was the heaven genitive rated; once was the earth born; once was the milk of Pṛśni (pṛśnayai vai payaso maruto jātāḥ: Taittirīya Saṃhitā 2.2.11.4) drawn other than that was not similarly genitive rated.
Once, only once, the heaven was made, once only once, the earth was formed- Once, only Prsni's milk was shed: no second, after this, is born.
