May the great one be our strength in battle; let him not fail us in war. Those who rule the mid-air, the leaf-clad ones, have bright heads.
Indra, be (favourable) at present to our success; protect our leader in battle when the feathered, sharp-pointed, shining shafts fall from the sky.
And now, O Indra, strengthen us: come near and aid us in the fight, What time the feathered shafts are flying in the air, the arrows with their sharpened points.
