शतं पूर्मं दश द्वे च तेभ्यः कण्वं गमिष्यति। अमात्यो वसुदेवस्तु बाल्याद्व्यसनिनं नृपम।।
śataṃ pūrmaṃ daśa dve ca tebhyaḥ kaṇvaṃ gamiṣyati| amātyo vasudevastu bālyādvyasaninaṃ nṛpam||
The sage said:: His son Devabhūmi will be the king for ten years. Thus these ten kings of the family of Śuṅgas will enjoy the Earth for full one hundred and twelve years. From them, the kingdom will go to the Kaṇva family. The Minister Vasudeva will kill king Devabhūmi who will be indulging in vice from childhood onwards. He will become the king in the realm of the Śuṅgas. He will be a Kāṇvāyana (Belonging to the family of Kaṇva) and will reign for five years.
