Sūta said;: I shall recount unto you the manifestation of the noble-souled lord. I shall tell you. how the lord of great penance incarnated among human beings on account of the course of Bhṛgu, due to his fault of killing the wife of Bhṛgu. During the final periods of Yugas, he takes birth for the accomplishment of the task of the Devas. Understand the details of the divine person of Viṣṇu even as I recount.
